The other day I was talking to a friend about how much God loves us. As I was speaking the thought came to me about how man was God's crowning glory. I know it wasn't me. After a few days went by, I was mulling over the conversation we had. I remembered that statement and it was a light bulb moment.
I think this was an answer to a question I had for years. Why did God our creator come in the form of a man to die for our sins and redeem us. We know He loves us and we also know He created us in His image. But the piece that was missing for me was why? There had to be more to this, I thought.
It all seemed to fall in place with that one simple statement. Was I right or was this just some thought I had?
God's crowning Glory? I am still in the early stages of pondering this profound thought. if it is true then I understand even more about why. As I was in thought the Scripture popped into my mind, John 8: 32. "Know the truth and the truth will set you free." Needless to say everywhere I turned and heard some minister speak this same Scripture. like bread crumbs I am following to find His Truth not my own.
Could it be we are His crowning achievement? I really am not sure. This is not to say, we are a great creation as we are now. The new birth is this great crowning achievement. So to put it into perspective, not only did He create a perfect human , in Adam, but even more He created away to save us when we fell from Grace in the garden. So by Grace we are saved, through our faith in Him, not of works, less any man should boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9.
If not His crowning Glory, then what is?
